MAKING PICTURES zeigt uns hier bei GoSee das Projekt 'I Go To The Sea ' von Paul CALVER: 'A new piece of moving images indulging Paul’s ongoing love for the sea, featuring Holly Bendall and her simple yet evocative poem, I Go To The Sea.'
Whether working in a studio or out on location, Paul Calver captures authentic moments and creates crisp, distinctive images that linger in the memory for a long time. Born in Suffolk, Paul’s first love was skating, but in 2002 he dislocated his knee on a trip to Germany, picked up a camera instead and hasn’t looked back.
He is well known for his beautifully shot sports photography, whether of runners snaking down snowy mountains or surfers riding waves off the west coast of India. Personal projects push the parameters of his work, and these experiments feed back into commissions for brand giants such as Nike.
But there is much more to Paul’s portfolio than sports imagery, and he is adept at shooting atmospheric, real-life reportage and documentary projects, too. Recent series capturing intimate family moments form strong narratives and deeply personal moments.
