NIKE Korea called upon Jean-Yves LEMOIGNE c/o MAKING PICTURES to immortalize the Team Korea breakdancing crew with a spot on its way to the 2024 Olympics in Paris. And the campaign claim ‘Own The Floor’ nails it – perfect moves by highly concentrated athletes. Because : Korea loves breaking.
The South Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has already promoted breakdancing as a prominent part of the nation’s cultural life, and a number of government-sponsored breakdancing competitions are held each year. All the more demanding is the sport when it comes to skill. Without years of training put into perfecting their moves, dancers don’t stand a chance.
How the breakdancing competitions will work, we read on ispo.com : “A total of two medal decisions are planned – one for the men, one for the women. In each case, sixteen B-boys and sixteen B-girls will compete in solo battles. In each battle, the two participants take turns in what are referred to as throw downs. One throw down lasts 60 seconds, during which the participants get a chance to impress the jury with their moves.
The jury will then award a score based on six criteria : creativity, personality, technique, versatility, performance, and musicality. Technique, performance and creativity account for 60 percent of the total score, while the other three make up 40 percent. Whoever has the highest score wins and moves on to the next round of the competition.”

Italian rapper and music producer Guè Pequeno, born 1980 in Milan as Cosimo Fini, is also known as Il Guercio or Lucky Luciano. For the fashion label C.P. Company, founded 1974 in Ravanno, the smart performer is one of the six new campaign faces.
The campaign was photographed with the rapper Gue Pequeno, François Girbaud and Alina Akbar, to name just three, by Neil BEDFORD c/o MAKING PICTURES.
For the latest F/W ‘22 ADV campaign, people with very different backgrounds were photographed. “These six people, their stories and personal style are representative of C.P. Company’s unique ability to use the materiality of clothing to interact with social ferment and innovation. Gué is a cornerstone of Italian hip hop. Born in Milan, he has travelled the world both for work and pleasure, giving him the opportunity to experience first hand the big global trends in music and fashion, another of his passions.” we quote C.P. Company.
“Although it didn’t start out as a streetwear brand in the strictest sense, C.P. Company is one of the most popular brands among aficionados. It’s an iconic street brand.” Gué Pequeno.
The brand is known for functional fashion design and the use of unconventional high-tech materials. At the beginning of 2010, the brand C.P. Company was purchased by the Italian company FGF Industry SpA and was taken over by Chinese textile manufacturer Tristate Holding Ltd. at the end of 2015.

Olly BURN c/o MAKING PICTURES was on a mission for NIKE LONDON and the agency La Familia. We have the result here on GoSee. And located directly at Oxford Circus in the British capital, by the way, is NIKE TOWN, the world’s largest Nike flagship store.
Dan BURN-FORTI c/o MAKING PICTURES visited Vlora, one of the largest cities in Albania, but also a popular beach resort. The city is located where the Adriatic Sea meets the Ionian Sea. The photographer presents us his very subjective photo essay here on GoSee.
“Rather unexpectedly, I found myself on a shoot in deepest Albania a few weeks ago. It was very hot, and it was rather strange. Because the shots I was doing needed palm trees in the background, I strolled around our local town of Vlora to look for them. And what a fine town it is. Besides the palm trees I needed, I found all sorts of tasty oddities to snap, the highlights of which included geriatric swimmers, a spooky theme park, a little rather peculiar public artwork, and a smashed up hearse. I’m not sure how representative Vlora is of Albania, but on first impression, I think I might need to go back.”
