🇬🇧 150 years of Heinz Ketchup 🇬🇧 - And what better way to celebrate than with a new campaign honouring the iconic brand’s place in British food culture? Created by Wieden+Kennedy London in collaboration with Kraft Heinz, Carat and Dentsu, the campaign was photographed by Dan Burn-Forti, with STANLEY’S POST responsible for retouching the images.
At the heart of the campaign are quintessentially British food rituals that connect generations: late-night fish and chips, seaside suppers and the obligatory match-day snack. Heinz Ketchup is more than just a condiment – the brand has been a fixture of everyday British life for decades.
“Heinz has had a front-row seat to so many of our most cherished memories. To show our appreciation, we wanted to celebrate the British traditions that have stood the test of time, and the generations of people who have held Heinz close to their hearts for more than a century,” explains Aditi Hilgers, Director of Taste Elevation at Kraft Heinz.
Charlie Lanus, Group Creative Director at Wieden+Kennedy London, also highlights the brand’s cultural significance: “For this campaign, we wanted to capture how deeply Heinz Ketchup has become woven into British life and culture. The iconic condiment that’s always been there – on the table, in the fridge and on the takeaway counter.”
The anniversary campaign runs from 5 October to 9 November across out-of-home, social media and digital channels. It is accompanied by Heinz’s TV commercial “Lost in Love” and additional activations in British football stadiums celebrating match-day traditions. Heinz Tomato Ketchup was first introduced in the US in 1876 under the name “Catsup” before arriving in the UK in 1886. 150 years later, the brand remains an integral part of British food culture.
