Dries Van Noten has just launched his first fragrance collection. But it’s not the first time the designer has seen his name on a perfume bottle. In 2013, perfumer Frederic Malle launched ‘Dries Van Noten Par Frederic Malle’. And now, Dries Van Noten has joined forces with the fashion and beauty experts from Puig to make yet another big splash with his own line of no less than ten perfumes.
After heading his successful independent label for more than three decades, Dries Van Noten decided to look for a strong strategic partner to join him on the next steps his company takes going forward. In June 2018, Puig acquired Dries Van Noten as majority shareholder. The designer remains a minority shareholder in the long game and true to his role as Chief Creative Officer and Chairman.
Puig is a Spanish fashion and perfume company, founded in 1914 by Antoni Puig i Castelló in the Catalonian capital Barcelona in Spain. The company is operated to this day by the Puig family and sells its products meanwhile in 150 countries and is directly present in 26.
