Für 3D Artist Thomas FEINER ist die Welt globalisiert und dies wird in seiner neuen Arbeit "Earthcity" mehr als deutlich, in der Türme und Sehenswürdigkeiten aller großen Metropolen sich in einer Stadt befinden. "An attempted snapshot of our civilization. This is a composite of various global landmark buildings and more (3D aswell as 2D). I should also add that the project started from a photo I took from Empire State building. Bit by bit the original photo content was replaced by various purchased models, and models downloaded from 3D Warehouse. The 3D-elements were matched according to scale and positioned relative to a virtual mock-up of the original shot. A few complex structures were retouched in from other photo sources."
