UPFRONT PHOTO & FILM : OPEL GSe for Velocity McCann, Mercedes-Benz Vans eRange, MERCEDES EQE, Rolls-Royce Spectre, Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport, cover artwork for Bryan Adams, Rammstein & Die Toten Hosen

Together with Velocity McCann and CD Norman Henkel, Frederic SCHLOSSER c/o UPFRONT staged the OPEL Astra Grand Sport e (styling by Ioanna Auschra, and H&M by Adina Hensel). For MERCEDES-BENZ VANS, Frederic SCHLOSSER c/o UPFRONT photographed the eRange campaign. The shoot was under the executive of CD Maximilian Stengl and AD Jasmin Pham from Preuss und Preuss (Agency Producer: Sunna Pilz). It was produced right after the TVC shoot with the production company Mamma Team in Madrid. Together with RECOM, Frederic Schlosser also took care of post production.

The island of fire and ice served as the perfect location for the shoot with the new MERCEDES EQE. Frederic SCHLOSSER c/o UPFRONT photographed the car as #MBcreater in Iceland. Also in front of the camera was model Isabel c/o East West Models (styling by Ioanna Auschra). Pegasus Pictures provided production services and the executive PR agency was OSK.

Here on GoSee.News, we bring you a very special personal project by Simon PUSCHMANN c/o UPFRONT : ‘CALIFORN-IR – a dystopian road trip through California photographed in 550 nm infrared’.

UPFRONT : “The Dream Factory, land of counterculture & innovation. There is no other landscape in the US that has shaped several generations of mass culture quite like California. In his new series CALIFORN-IR, Simon Puschmann devotes his craft to infrared photography and gives viewers an exciting glimpse, and at the same time, provides a disruptive perspective of contemporary California. 45 works were created in 2022 with a converted Sony Alpha 7 R III at 550nm, which enables photographers to capture light beyond the spectrum visible for humans.

Chlorophyll is a pigment produced by plants, algae and other organisms which engage in photosynthesis, reflecting electromagnetic waves in the spectrum perceived by the human eye as green. But under conditions of infrared photography, it is either transparent – an observation first published by Robert Williams Wood in 1919 – or you can assign one of the seven spectral colors in post-processing.”

The virtual gallery with all 45 works are also available online via the link below. Post production was in the hands of Harvest Digital Agriculture.

For ROLLS-ROYCE, Simon PUSCHMANN c/o UPFRONT photographed the new SPECTRE at Mars Volume in London, the UK’s biggest independent virtual production environment, for the agency Rankin Creative.

Mars Volume offers a mixed-reality stage in combination with CGI backgrounds projected onto or played on the screens – with the real Rolls Royce Spectre standing directly in front of them. The reflections from the virtual environment are therefore cast directly back onto the real car, and the resulting image is then captured by the camera.

What we have for you here on GoSee.News is nothing less than the director’s cut, and Super 8 version, of the BUGATTI Chiron Pur Sport film shot by photographer and director Simon PUSCHMANN c/o UPFRONT. And that with the original vehicle. For the client’s version, the Chiron Pur Sport was staged in CGI, for which only 5% of the entire Super 8 footage made it into the final edit. Director & Super 8 camera master was Simon Puschmann, DOP was Stefan Hegenberg, who worked with Executive Producer Tim Michel together with Sonda Productions. Post production by Harvest Digital Agriculture.

For Bryan Adams ‘So happy it hurts’, Dirk RUDOLPH c/o UPFRONT created the album artwork. Bryan Adams was also behind the camera to photograph for Rammstein’s album ‘ZEIT’, for which Dirk Rudolph was once again on the job for artwork. For Die Toten Hosen, Dirk was in charge of the artwork for ‘Teufel’, ‘Alles aus Liebe - 40 Jahre Die Toten Hosen’, photographed this time by Robert Eikelpoth.
