GoSee presents an exciting project by Michael Schott, which saw him shoot an aerial panorama of Kilauea volcano, Hawaii.
‘We carried out the shoot with our gyro camera stabilising system, the handheld MōVI M10 – a three axes ‘brushless motor gimbal’. This opens up new camera drives from ground to helicopter or even on our octocopter with remote camera and live downlink of the image. A joystick enables precise direction by a second camera operator. In terms of still or moving images, MōVI marks the dawn of a new era of cinematography on various camera platforms.’ Click here for more information on the camera system or check out Michael Schott.
Kilauea is one of the world’s most active volcanoes and a holy place for Hawaiian natives, in 1987 UNESCO named it a world heritage site. Kilauea is a part of the Hawaiian–Emperor seamount chain of volcanoes, stretching from the North East Pacific to Hawaii. It comprises 129 big volcanoes, spanning 6,100 kilometres and up to 89 million years old.
