Wayfair is a US-based e-commerce company specializing in the online sale of furniture, home decor, and household goods. Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Boston, the company now offers over 14 million products from more than 11,000 suppliers.

Wayfair primarily operates as an online marketplace and intermediary. Instead of manufacturing most of its products itself, the company works with a vast network of suppliers, who often ship the goods directly to customers.
Prior to 2011, Wayfair founders Niraj Shah and Steve Conine operated over 200 individual online stores for specialized products (e.g., allbarstools.com or everymirror.com) under the name CSN Stores. To create a unified brand and increase brand awareness, the founders commissioned a branding agency to find a new name: Wayfair.
