Tylko, founded in Poland in 2015, is an online shop for custom-made furniture that you can configure yourself on screen. The images shown here were photographed by Tim Sonntag for Tylko in collaboration with Tina Bobbe.
Tylko's current CEO is Jacek Majewski, the company's co-founder. The basic idea behind Tylko stemmed from a fairly common problem: standard furniture often doesn't fit in real homes. The founding team—many of them designers and architects—realized that rooms are rarely "perfectly rectangular" and that furniture from traditional manufacturers is often too inflexible. Custom-made furniture from a cabinetmaker, on the other hand, is too expensive for many.
Tina Bobbe is a German product designer from Dresden who has become known primarily for her combination of AI-generated designs and traditional craftsmanship. Her work is characterized by vibrant colors and organic structures.
The collaboration between Tina Bobbe and the furniture brand Tylko focused on showcasing Bobbe's sculptural design objects (such as her well-known AI-powered coffee machine frames) in modern living spaces.
Photographer Tim Sonntag is represented by the Hamburg-based agency JULIA WALDMANN.
