For the June 2026 issue of ESQUIRE magazine, Cristian Hunter photographed Spanish actress Iria del Río (Cable Girls) and Spanish actor Iván Pellicer (Sagrada Familia).
Both Iria del Río and Iván Pellicer are among the rising stars of modern Spanish cinema and television, particularly through popular productions on global streaming platforms like Netflix.
The shoot took place in the historic and richly decorated halls of the Palacio de Santoña in Madrid. The editorial blends modern high-fashion elements with historical Baroque and Rococo styles.
This magnificent 16th-century city palace is located in the heart of Madrid's renowned Barrio de las Letras (Literary Quarter). It is considered one of the best-preserved and most luxurious 19th-century palaces in the Spanish capital.
The palace owes its current name to the Duke of Santoña (Juan Manuel de Manzanedo), a merchant who made his fortune in 19th-century Cuba and amassed an immense wealth. He purchased the palace in 1874 and had it transformed, sparing no expense, into one of the most exclusive residences of Madrid's high society.
Styling was the work of Jesús Cicero, who has been Fashion Director of Esquire España since February 2022.
Photographer and director Cristian Hunter is represented by the Munich-based agency Kristina Korb.
