DOP Martin RUHE filmed more than a pure product advertisement in the KENCO ‘Coffee VS Gangs’ commercial. The coffee company founded the eponymous project to show young people from the poorer areas of Honduras an alternative to criminal gangs and a better perspective for their future. In eleven months the 20 participants learn how to become a coffee farmer, from farming to management. A goal worthy of support. coffeevsgangs.com. DBC Berlin is pleased to welcome director and new entry Jörn HEITMANN. The Berlin based director specialises in music videos and commercials and he already shot videos for Rammstein, Guano Apes, Jan Delay and Die Toten Hosen. His portfolio also includes big name clients such as Coca-Cola, Casio, Porsche, Sat. 1 and Premiere.
His latest project was the SIXT commercial with singer Roberto Blanco. Jung von Matt/Alster commissioned HEITMANN together with DOP Christopher HÄRING to produce the very ironic gangster rap video featuring the German singer aka R. Blanc-O. The 77-year old sings ‘but Roberto is bust isn’t he? How does he get into the convertible?’ The answer is a rental car. Katapult carried out the production.
‘We all are connected’ is the claim of the new advertising film by director Mario ZOZIN. He worked with Bates Chi & Partners agency and the producers of The Sweet Shop & Lynx Films on the commercial for the Indonesian cigarette brand A Mild by PT SAMPOERNA. In the video he takes us on an adventurous journey around the world that really does connect us all in impressive visuals.
Director Andreas ROTH and online platform Panthalassa launched the official teaser for short film ‘Sea Legend’. In breathtaking images a Basque fisherman tells the incredible story of a mysterious creature from the depths of the ocean. The film was made for NGO Oceana to raise awareness of endangered sea creatures – all will be revealed at the premiere at San Sebastian Film Festival in late September. Celebrities including Ted Danson and Ridley Scott also support the project. The latter on the film: ‘Sea Legend is a powerful and mature piece of filmmaking.’ They even have a countdown at the specially created website: sealegendfilm.org.

Esther Kurle, born in 1973 and mother of one child is currently living in Berlin. Before she founded Trinity Agency in Germany, she worked as a producer for several years.
Since 2006 Esther is the owner of Esther Kurle Management.

Bernadette Graf was born in 1976 and is living in Munich with her family.
She has a diploma in American Studies and 6 years of experience as a sales rep and project manager @ gap films in Munich under her belt, before she founded Bernadette Graf Management in 2008.
BASE PRAGUE BY NICK AND PAVLINA SAWARD
Nick Saward was born in 1961. He worked in the UK as a production manager and then 15 years as a producer before moving to Prague in 2002 to produce for Stillking Films. 7 years later he founded Saward Management. Nick is living in Prague with his two children and his wife Pavlina Saward (born Prikrylova) who serves as the creative head of the DBC base in Prague.
Pavlina worked as a Production Manager on more than 130 commercials in the last 10 years for Stillking Films in Prague. Prior to that she worked on 19 movies in different production positions and production companies for 15 years. Pavlina joined Esther Kurle Management in January 2009 along with Nick to work as an agent for directors and DOP`s.
BASE HAMBURG BY KLEMENS KEMPKES
Klemens Kempkes is based in Hamburg. He looks back on more than 20 years of experience working in the film industry being a set manager, producer, production manager and agency producer. In 1999 he founded Good Fellows and joined the Driven By Creatives network in 2010.

Antonella Perillo is currently living in Milan. She has 30 years of experience in the Entertainment industry as Agent, Casting Director and PA. She got to travel all around the world as a PA for Simply Red. After she took a break to become the mother of two wonderful children, she founded ABC Casting in Milan and became part of the Gallagher Casting Network and Rolf Scheider Casting Company in Paris-Berlin-Hamburg. She has done casting for world-renowned filmmakers like Zack Snyder, Tony Kaye and many others. In 2003, she started ABC & Director's Agency, a film directors agency that works directly with production companies and advertising agencies.
