Graubünden takes the next step – bringing its iconic ibex duo Gian and Giachen into a new visual reality. The campaign was produced for Graubünden Ferien with the production company Analog Digital (Exec Producers: Tomasz Zmigrodzi, Tomasz Kosinski), while AIO Post handled AI technology, generation and postproduction.
AIO Post developed a fully AI-driven production in collaboration with Wirz – demonstrating how high-end commercials can now be realised entirely through AI.
At the centre are the two cult characters, appearing for the first time in a fully AI-generated world – from landscapes to the animals themselves. Trained on countless real images from Graubünden, the system achieves a visual quality that deliberately moves closer to realism and detail than previous iterations.
The challenge extended beyond visuals to timing and storytelling: voice acting, rhythm and imagery had to align precisely – including the signature dry Swiss humour that has defined the campaign for years. The original voices of Claudio Zuccolini and Sergio Greco remain, ensuring continuity.
Using AI allows productions to be realised significantly faster – complex modelling and long render times are no longer required. For Graubünden, this means greater relevance, more flexibility, and new opportunities for the two protagonists to comment on current events more regularly.
