With AIOpost, a player comes into focus that demonstrates how AI can be integrated into classic advertising and film in a meaningful – and above all invisible – way. Not as a gimmick, but as a tool that enhances storytelling rather than overpowering it.
A recent example is the campaign “And everything feels lighter” for Swiss dairy brand Emmi, developed by Wirz and directed by Filip Berendt. At its core is a simple everyday moment in a home office – until “Emil” appears: a drawn bird introduced as a new brand hero, embodying lightness and balance for the kefir range.
The challenge: integrating a 2D character into a live-action environment so naturally that it feels completely at home. This is where AIOpost shows its strength. In a hybrid workflow combining classic VFX, animation and carefully applied AI tools, multiple approaches were tested and refined – resulting in a solution that feels seamless while staying true to the visual language of the packaging.
“We set out to explore how a small, 2D illustrated bird could be naturally integrated into a live-action environment. Together with our VFX & AI partner AIOPOST, we tested a range of approaches before landing on a solution that felt both seamless and authentic — keeping Emil as close as possible to the visual style used on the packaging, while adding character and charm. The result is what happens when everyone involved — client, agency, and a team spread across borders and disciplines — is pulling towards the same thing: making something they're all proud of. And it shows. 🐦” – Analog/Digital
The campaign deliberately breaks with classic food codes, opting instead for a poetic, emotional visual language in line with the Natural Wellbeing trend. Kefir isn’t explained – it’s felt.
“Kefir is functionally strong, but often communicated in a very rational way. Our task was to create a more approachable brand world that resonates emotionally and reaches new audiences.” – Lena Altdorfer, Director Creative Strategy, Wirz Group
