McDonald’s Germany is launching the next chapter of its successful “All That” campaign. In collaboration with Scholz & Friends, Abelone Films, and director Magnus Härdner, two emotional films have been created that focus on authentic everyday moments.
The spot “First Date” tells the story of a young love, full of nervous glances, shared fries, and quiet magic. “Silent Cities” follows four friends who come together at McDonald’s after work, turning the restaurant into a place of connection while the rest of the city sleeps.
Shot by DOP Axel Pettersson and directed in Härdner’s natural, playful style, the films impress with authenticity, strong performances, and a clear visual language: no heavy effects, just a tangible sense of closeness. With the new McSmart Menus, McDonald’s emphasizes that a meal can be more than just nourishment: it creates moments of togetherness and highlights small, unforgettable stories.
Photographer Frederike Wentzel captured the visual world on set, while Abelone Films’ social media team handled the digital extension. Under the direction of Yevhen Zhornyk, dynamic content was created, tailored to the viewing habits of Generation Z.
“All That” – McDonald’s, Scholz & Friends, and ABELONE FILMS once again show that the most beautiful moments often happen in the simplest situations.
