STRANGE CARGO FILM : presents H&M Spring icons selected by The Weeknd commercial, produced in Los Angeles and the MARIMEKKO F/W 2017 fashion film for the Paris Fashion Week on GoSee

H&M presents an exclusive assortment of iconic pieces and timeless must-haves for the ultimate men's wardrobe – selected by The Weeknd, for which the celebrated musician stood in front of the camera in Los Angeles. The spot was realized by Director Canada, and GoSee member STRANGE CARGO FILM was there on the sunny set, and as agency producer, also took care of post production. We have the film and several statements on the spot here on GoSee.

CANADA : “Abel Testfaye (aka The Weeknd) says icons don't define him… And it is understandable, as he has made himself an idol of American music in no time after a number of smashing hits. CANADA had the chance to shoot him in his adoptive town LA LA land to promote the release of his Spring Icons collection for H&M”.

"Abel’s taste and style perfectly fit the menswear mood of the season at H&M. He has such a great eye for the little details that matter and for mixing together updated men’s classics for the perfectly tailored streetwear look,” says Andreas Löwenstam, H&M’s Men’s Head of Design.

“I had a great time selecting my Spring Icons at H&M. I love the mix of urban pieces like bombers and hoodies with tailored shirts and blazers. Every piece is both effortless and fresh, which is just how menswear should be,” says Abel Tesfaye from The Weeknd.

Presented at the Paris Fashion Week was the new collection from Finnish label MARIMEKKO as well as a film by Swedish-Polish photographer and Director Kacper Kasprzyk. “In 2017, the centenary of its home country's independence, Marimekko celebrates Finnish creative culture and design heritage. The Fall/Winter 2017 collection was inspired by Finnish art, architecture and folklore and the mysticism of national epic Kalevala, and how the influence of Finnish nature can be seen in the country's culture overall. Filmed at different locations in Helsinki, the film shows the ordinary from an interesting point of view. Kasprzyk was also inspired by the craftsmanship of Marimekko's textile printing factory in Helsinki,” as we learn from the label. GoSee member STRANGE CARGO FILM wrapped up production of the film, which we are pleased to present you here on GoSee.
