"Reverse Sun" is a striking exploration of the interplay between nature, the cosmos, and geometric structures, brought to life through a seamless blend of film and CGI. The project was conceived and produced by SORRYWECAN, from the initial creative concept to the final production, offering profound visual insights into the sun and its mysteries.
Inspired by Jaroslav Kysa's groundbreaking installation "Reverse Sun," a monumental sculpture made of bee-shaped plastics, SORRYWECAN explored the visual parallels between sunspots and honeycombs, as well as the connection between bee structures and solar energy. These discoveries led to a deep artistic engagement with the sun as a source of energy and the symmetry found in both nature and the cosmos.
Using advanced 3D composite techniques, an immersive experience was created that reveals the project's artistic inspiration. Through the fusion of CGI and real footage, SORRYWECAN crafted a visual language that takes the viewer on a journey through the universe, while questioning the deeper meaning of geometric forms in the natural and cosmic environment.
The project invites reflection on the symmetry and interplay of nature, science, and art, encouraging viewers to recognize the deeper significance behind the forms and structures that shape our world and the universe.
SORRYWECAN : "Reverse Sun is an exploration of the intricate interplay between nature, cosmos, and geometric shapes, seamlessly blending film with CGI. From creative conception to production, we realized the project from beginning to end. Examining the visual similarities between sunspots and honeycomb, and the connection between bee structures and solar energy, we were inspired by Kysa's pioneering work 'Reverse Sun.' We utilized advanced 3D composites to create a sensory experience that reveals the author's profound depths of artistic inspiration. From the vastness of the universe to its most tangible forms, one question remains: What do these shapes signify?"
