Camilla AKRANS photographed the current H&M Conscious campaign with French actress and singer Vanessa Paradis.
In the official press release Vanessa comments on the project: ‘I like being part of something like the Conscious collection at H&M. I try my best to shop consciously, and vintage is very much part of my wardrobe. I love the style and it works in an eco-friendly way because I like to use and reuse old clothes.’
She is dressed in pixiesque green, at home in a very French, self-planted apartment biotope, posing for the ‘Secret Garden’ spring collection. Looking like a tigress with a wild mane, big eyes and great styling, she inspects her (accidentally?) created new habitat. Butterflies, magic roots, grass as tall as a woman and a variety of other flatmates – which you can hear rather than see. Of course our focus is always on Vanessa.
The sustainable collection concentrates on materials such as organic cotton, recycled polyester or Tencel, a fabric that is made up of industrially processed cellulosic fibres. The collection is floral, fitted and has a colour palette that leans towards green shades – at least judging by the video. The collection hit stores in March.
