A blend of memory, vast horizons, and a longing for summer: the editorial "Sail"—featuring model Georgina Grenville and shot by Spanish fashion photographer Pepe Herreros—was created for the July 2026 issue of Vogue CS. Theresa Rohe was responsible for the finely tuned set design.
The issue was themed "Nostalgic Bliss," dedicated to the unique power of memories—recalling places, people, and feelings that have long since passed yet remain part of our present.
For "Sail," this concept translated into a beautifully minimalist visual world. Georgina Grenville moves through vast, deserted landscapes—amidst water, dunes, fences, and the occasional house—bathed in the soft light of late summer.
Theresa Rohe’s set design introduces a few striking elements: a child’s kite, chairs, and geometric shapes appear in the landscape like found objects or fragments of memory. The color red runs through the shoot as a recurring accent, contrasting with the warm, slightly ethereal light of the photographs.
The result feels less like a classic fashion editorial and more like the memory of a summer—one where you are no longer quite sure if you actually experienced it.
South African model Georgina Grenville was a prominent figure in the international high-fashion scene, particularly during the 1990s and 2000s. She gained widespread renown as one of designer Tom Ford’s key muses during his tenure at Gucci.
After a long hiatus—during which the Paris-based model focused on raising her three children—she made a successful comeback as a sought-after "best-ager" model, appearing on the runway and in campaigns for brands such as Mango and Off-White.
Theresa Rohe regularly creates atmospheric visual worlds for international fashion magazines, including Vogue Czechoslovakia, Vogue Portugal, and TUSH Magazine. She is represented by the agency BALLSAAL ARTIST MANAGEMENT.
