Berlin Fashion Film Festival 2015 : program and shortlist released – more than 100 films and day program with VIP talks plus 'an evening of awards and bare skin' await you! GoSee you in Berlin

The program for the Berlin Fashion Film Festival, which focuses on the fashion, film and advertising industries, is now available online. The two-part event itself takes place on June 5th at Berlin's Astra Kulturhaus in the form of the BFFF Fashion Film Summit from 9am to 5pm, the Award Show and the After-Show Party – all co-powered by Tinder – from 8:30pm to 2am.

The summit will showcase around 100 films, which were chosen out of 700 entries – including several from famous brands such as Fendi or Dior and with stars the likes of Marion Cotillard or even Natalie Portman, and from directors Park Chan-Wook, Bruno Avellain or Anton Corbijn. The screenings are complemented by industry talks, case studies, and panel discussions, which are held parallel.

The press release tells us:"To highlight the rise in fashion film, Charlotte La Salle from NOWNESS will discuss the importance of short films in building brand image and its growing importance in brand’s communication strategy. Mill+ Creative Director Carl Addy will discuss Visual Effects Within Fashion, showcasing a range of work from augmented reality to in-show graphics, whereas Ms. Anne Coté and Jeremy Hofmeister

Lynn from VCCP will explore the challenges of going from global to local, using as an example Converse’s Made by You campaign. PRETTYBIRD’s Executive Producer/Head of Production Margo Mars will walk through the challenges and opportunities of engaging with consumers in new and exciting ways, using the latest cutting-edge technologies for creative communication. Lastly, the panel discussion held by Whitelodge’s Stephen Whelan, Selfridges’ Kathryn Ferguson and i-D Germany’s Alexandra Bondi de Antoni and Sebastian Hennecke and led by ZDF’s Heiko Kunzman will tackle The Status Quo and Future of Branded Content/ Fashion Film.

The BFFF Awards will complete the day with this year’s twelve jury members, including Shaway Yeh Group Style Editorial Director of Modern Media, Adriano Alarcon - Senior Art Director of FCB Brasil, David Danesi - Founder & CEO of Digital District and Alexandra Bondi de Antoni - Editor-in-Chief i-D Germany, awarding the best fashion film productions. The 1 6 awards categories range from Best Direction and Cinematography to Best Major Brand and Best Local Production, with Red Digital Cinema sponsoring the prize for Best Emerging Talent.

The evening will continue with this year’s fashion act, in collaboration with director Michael Venus and actor Samuel Weiss, and the BFFF After-Show Party - co-powered by Tinder, with music by NORR and Zosse Records."
