'Connect with the people you love. Discover experiences that make you feel alive. And enjoy everything the world has to offer, through the power of technology.' The new O2 campaign ''Breathe It All In' is all about the 'Digital Oxygen' which connects us all.
"The campaign by VCCP, first launched in some of the biggest out-of-home spots in the UK, including Piccadilly Circus Lights, Waterloo Motion and an experiential walk through the Waterloo Travelator, as well as a wrap of the IMAX immersive cinema environment. On 1 September, a 90 sec. hero TV advert broke on ITV during the X Factor. Featuring and narrated by British spoken word artist George the Poet, the ad twists and turns through the beginnings of the cosmos moving through planets, stars and moons. As George breathes in his surroundings, the audience suddenly crests over a colorful blue planet – Earth – before plunging underwater and breaking through the surface of the ocean to reveal the night sky..."
'What's your next FIRST?' is asked by CANON and lead agency VCCP with their new spectacularly filmed online campaign "Crossing Continents", which was realized together with parkour collective Storror.
It's meant to encourage people to make new experiences, try things out, and capture them with a Canon camera. "We are delighted to help Storror become the first Parkour group to cross continents," says Lee Bonniface, Marketing Director of Canon Europe. "We challenged them to be courageous and record their run in order to inspire others to do the same. We don't expect everyone to be that daring, but maybe everyone who sees the campaign will try something new and capture it with their Canon camera."
VCCP on the project : This summer marks one year since we helped reposition Canon under the ‘Live for the story’ platform. To help deepen the connection with a young generation of storytellers, we see the launch of our next big campaign ‘What’s your next first?’. The new campaign sees the world’s leading imaging brand challenge elite Parkour athletes Storror to cross continents, from Europe into Asia by any means possible.
Filmed in the historic city of Istanbul, the campaign is designed to inspire Canon Europe’s customers to try a new experience for the “FIRST” time and capture it on a Canon. Canon Europe’s fully integrated campaign will run across Europe from Monday, 25th June in a variety of channels including: Print, Digital, Social, PR, VOD, CRM and in-store/retail.
Canon Europe challenged the seven-strong group to attempt a world first, in this case the Parkour athletes turned their cameras on themselves and filmed their adventure free-running across a series of landmarks including Istanbul’s Galata Bridge, the domed rooftops near Süleymaniye, culminating in a leap onto the roof of a passenger ferry carrying them across the Bosphorus Strait to the cargo seaport of Haydarpaşa on the Asian side of the city to successfully complete the challenge.
The challenge was a remarkable feat of human endurance, skill and agility which aims to inspire others to try something new. Using moving vehicles, trains and boats as stepping stones, Storror’s adrenaline-fueled adventure was filmed using a selection of Canon equipment, such as the award-winning EOS M50, EOS 5D Mark IV and a EOS C200 cinema camera...
