Some big brand collaborations just don’t make that much sense. Adidas Originals X Jeremy Scott makes sense. And the latest collaborative line for Fall/Winter 2012 has hit the spot yet again.
GoSee presents the bold and colourful video shot by famed director and photographer Nabil Elderkin. The latest fun pieces from the Adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott collection flash through the screen modelled by River VIIPERI c/o Viva Models and a cotton candy coiffed Charlotte Free.
The playful music at the start of the video says it all ‘I like you and you like me’ – the German sportswear label and the American designer famed for tongue in cheek designs with prints ranging from burgers to dollar bills like each other and are having a lot of fun working together too.
Jeremy Scott’s previous collections for Adidas have always included some sort of ingenious kitsch addition to the high top – Mickey Mouse, gorilla and teddy bear topped tongues, as well as Hermes style wings flourishing from the sides. This collection is no disappointment – the latest addition to the wacky sneaker add ons are two butterfly halves that create a big butterfly when you put your feet together – matched with a butterfly winged top that takes ‘80s fashion revivalism to new heights.
More showstoppers include the teddy bear adorned trousers and hoodies, coloured keyboard graphic prints, heeled sneakers, bold Hawaiian prints and cosy looking puffer jackets in floral and leopard prints. All in keeping with the ‘90s nostalgia that is currently sweeping the fashion world.
Adidas Originals X Jeremy Scott Fall/Winter 2012 we like you too.
