"Ten years after the opening of our flagship store in Mitte, YUN can now be found at Kurfürstendamm 11 (or Ku’damm, as the locals call it), in the historic Breitscheidplatz, a landmark of Berlin. The renowned studio, Gonzalez Haase AAS is responsible for the interior design, led by Judith Haase and Pierre Jorge Gonzalez.
The design emphasizes the use of light, drawing inspiration from architect Egon Eiermann’s famous reconstructed church, whose façade is made almost entirely of stained glass. At the center of the store, a multi-sided blue mirror column pays homage to this 1960s memorial, which stands directly across from the shop.
By night, the store’s cool blue tones contrast with the warmly lit display window, evoking the glow of the sun. The space is further defined by elegantly curved aluminum display tables, suspended curtains, and warm wooden surfaces that subtly designate areas for customer service." YUN.
