'You Can’t Touch This' - Matthias Schwörer, Brand Marketing Manager / Global Brand Marketing ESPRIT as a juror at the GoSeeAWARDS and the #ImPerfect ESPRIT Fall/Winter 2016 campaign on GoSee

We are happy to welcome Matthias Schwörer, Brand Marketing Manager from ESPRIT Global Brand Marketing, as a juror at our GoSeeAWARDS. For four years, he has been responsible for realizing the ESPRIT brand campaigns (EMEA & APAC) with a focus on digital/social Media and takes care of organization and media planning (traditional, digital & influencer). As a little taste of what’s to come this autumn, he presents the brand new #ImPerfect ESPRIT campaign on GoSee. And he looks forward to seeing inspiring submissions in the areas of FASHION at the GoSeeAWARDS.

Action-packed and very youthful is the vibe of the #ImPerfect autumn campaign which will be launched globally on 2 September, 2016. It was photographed in the studio in New York by Christian MacDonald, the former assistant of Steven Meisel. Ten models were casted who give the story their look and thus the necessary authenticity with their own #ImPerfect twist. The TV spot is accompanied by the beat of MC Hammer’s 'You Can not Touch This' to reflect the electrifying energy that is synonymous with the moods of the season.

'The magnetic power of dance' is the slogan of the new new campaign, a mix of fashion and portrait. Musik als Zeichen von Individualität, die sich in der Mode wieder spiegelt. Und als Kinder der Achtziger verbinden wir natürlich so Einiges mit  ‘You Can’t Touch This’...

The campaign is officially described as follows: “The warm lighting lends itself to a visually upbeat mood, while the colored backdrop captures the diverse range of textures and patterns in the F/W 2016 collection... There’s a comfy, homey touch to it all, with slouchy sweaters, tops, slightly romantic dresses and skirts just waiting to be thrown on and enjoyed. Letting go of all inhibitions, Esprit’s #ImPerfect campaign is a celebration of natural beauty and individual style as a confident and unique form of self-expression.”

Esprit was founded in 1968 by Susie and Douglas Tompkins in San Francisco. The couple drove through California with a station wagon selling clothing they had sewn themselves. Only three years later, Esprit became an independent company under the name of Esprit de Corp. And that same year, a subsidiary was founded in Hong Kong. The German Esprit affiliate of Esprit has been in Düsseldorf since 1976.
