A new sporty and eye-catching car suddenly turns up in the midst of mountains, fields, cows and rustic chalets in Austria’s Alps. It blends into its surroundings with unrivalled lightness and ease. The aerodynamic car easily masters curves, high altitudes and uneven streets, as do transportation photographer Uwe KRISTANDT (expert in location shoots) and the STAUD STUDIOS Team. VW was so impressed by the results that they used it for the cover story of their magazine.
The PORSCHE 918 SPYDER was photographed in a luxurious elegant style at René STAUD’s studio.
René STAUD photographed the four-door MASERATI GHIBLI car in Italian design in front of the most modern architectural and stunningly landscaped backgrounds the Netherlands has to offer. Staud Studios reflected on the shoot, ‘just as Rotterdam and surroundings were new for us as a location for shooting a car, so too was the client Maserati and the new Ghibli – the first Maserati with a Diesel motor’.
Let loose from its usual Italian surroundings and free from all restrictions on the client’s side, the photo shoot was carried out parallel to a film shoot with the extensive support of BRW Filmland Production Milan. From car to car on super slick streets, static in front of unique buildings or dynamic on designer bridges, the vehicles harmonise perfectly with the location.
Patrick STAUD loves to create perfect illusions that surpass all his clients’ expectations. To ensure he meets his own high standards, he uses all technologies – from analogue to digital to CGI. As for example most recently for client RENAULT: for the launch of the new generation of the RENAULT LAGUNA, STAUD STUDIOS’ CGI unit created six expressive images.
The vehicle and background were created in full digital in collaboration with Publicis Paris. STAUD STUDIOS CGI Team developed three different looks for the Laguna, Laguna Coupé and Grandtour model variations based on sketches by Nicolas le Bruns, Art Director at Publicis.
