Rügenwalder Mühle, founded in 1834, is a food manufacturer from Bad Zwischenahn. Its range of products includes Rügenwalder smoked sausage spread, ham sausage under the brand name Schinken Spicker, minced pork sausage, liverwurst, ham, meatballs and small sausages. As a company formerly based in Rügenwalde, Germany, it is permitted to market its smoked sausage spread under the brand name of Rügenwalder Teewurst.
Besides its sausage products, the family business has also sold meatless products with great success since 2014 such as vegetarian schnitzel, little meatballs and cold cuts, and part of these products are vegan. In July 2020, the company made more profits for the first time with vegan and vegetarian products than with classic sausage, and in 2021 more profits throughout the entire financial year.

Due to recent developments, Rügenwalder Mühle purchased a new production site in Goldenstedt, Lower Saxony, on 1 May, 2022. Manufactured at the former factory of the company Fleisch Krone on two production lines exclusively are vegan and vegetarian meat substitute products.
