With very soft tones and reserved imagery – the trademark of the fashion photographer of Norwegian heritage residing in Paris – OLA RINDAL sneaked his way into the hearts of the jurors in the category NUDE. The spread submitted by Ola plays with shadows on clear skin. Equally purist but still deep are his productions for magazines and clients such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Maison Martin Margiela, Hermès, Cerruti 1881, Dazed, Another, 032C, Purple, i-D, and Double. The series was created for UNION MAGAZINE. Further works by the photographer are available on GoSee or directly via ADAMSKY.
The second GOLD winner in the category NUDE also hails from Norway. Morten BJARNHOF was born in 1951 in northern Copenhagen into a Danish-Norwegian artists family consisting of painters, sculptors and writers. Morten is mostly known for his fashion and lifestyle photography for clients such as GANT. That he also knows how to do sensual and sexy productions was demonstrated at the GoSeeAWARDS in the category NUDE, in which he received the total number of points from the jury. “I always try to keep the light as it is. If I must use artificial light, I will make it look as if it fell through a door or a window. It is an old and journalistic habit of a kind, to add nothing and make a loyal account. Let your motif breathe, and give reality a change to shine through."
The photographer and Director presented this year's GoSeeAWARDS NUDE jury her new lingerie spread. A magnificent mix of nylon, oversized breast implants and high heels like it has never been seen before. With a wink of the eye, GoSee member MONICA MENEZ realized her fashion productions just as alive and sexy as her films, for which she has already received several international awards. We present further visual delicacies by Monica on GoSee and even more is available on her website.
The SCREENINGS winner from last year also managed to excite the jury this year. In this category, they presented their latest work: 'The concrete series' is a nude sequence, that explores the contrast between the human body and the dehumanized material concrete... The project was on display this summer in Berlin and was presented GoSee .
London resident photographer Mark SANDERS c/o DARLING CREATIVE and Art Director/Designer Charlotte Heal combined fashion portraits with nude body silhouettes for their mutual project titled ‘Contours’. “How often do lines, shape and tone connect as we move around daily. In a sense, it's our modern take on the nude,” the two tell us about the series which won the most votes for the Public Voting award in the category NUDE.
