We are delighted that Creative Director MIKE BROOKS is supporting the GoSeeAWARDS as a juror. For four years, he has been responsible for the international look of CHEVROLET as the Creative Director, Stills & Motion, at Commonwealth//McCann. Trucks, SUVs, crossovers, global, electric vehicles, performance & promotions: With his teams, he produces global campaigns – whether digital, print, CGI, or film. Photographers, post producers or directors alike can submit their best new projects in the areas of TRANSPORTATION or CGI to the GoSeeAWARDS free of charge and have them viewed by the top creative.
“I partner with photographers, cinematographers, producers, editors, artists, clients, creatives, colorists, compositors, composers, stylists, strategists, retouchers, animators, sound designers, executives, agents, and talent to create beautiful compelling Chevrolet stories around the globe. I love to create stuff and solve problems. Building automotive brands is my specialty, with a laser focus on the beautiful portrayal of automobiles. Along the way, I like to work hard and have fun. And I am a big fan of GoSee.”
And since we are also big fans of Mike Brook and his work, we present you a selection of his latest projects here on GoSee. First off, BRITISH INVASION: MCLAREN 570S SPEC. “This is a spec project titled 'British Invasion' which features a McLaren 720S in Detroit locations. To create this, I teamed up with mad Russian CGI scientist Sergey Poltavskiy and the team at Midcoast Studios. The car is full CGI rendered into photographic backplates. Call it a test of skill. Just me and the CGI house. Super fun!”
“It was a simple brief: Create art that pays off. 'The strongest, most advanced Silverado ever.' After lots of conceptual exploration, we had a vision. And we set out for the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. While there, we also rolled some motion that worked it’s way into the campaign. Which was a really cool gift to give back to my clients. This is a massive campaign and an honor to be a part of,” Mike Brooks tells us. (CCO, North America: Gary Pascoe, ECDs: Bob Guisgand, Duffy Patten, CD Trucks/Crossovers: Andy Ozark, Kathy Speck, Agency Producer: Lilian Ikera, photography by Dana Neibert, produced by Adrienne Burton at Paige Dorian Productions, retouching by Pixlhut, color correction by Cathel Color, edit and graphics by Craft Detroit).
