RED BULL and the agency michaelcollins.rocks took it to Gran Canaria in search of surfer legend Bjørn Dunkerbeck. In the slipstream of 41-time World Champion, Manuel photographed the spread for Red Bull's Media House platform.
For AUDI and the agency Philipp und Keuntje, Manuel photographed a spread themed upon camping tents, which the car manufacturer developed together with Heimplanet. To underscore the topic 'outdoors', Croatian skies were filled with hale, snow and thunder storms – but also a bit of sun. Smooth production was guaranteed by the executive agency Fernsicht Produktion – despite ex-hurricane Gonzalo.
Manuel captures genuine expressions of man and nature. Intimate, at times vulnerable portraits, landscapes of liberatory vastness or the intensity of sports unfold a catching power in the almost incidential moments selected in his work. In his photography Manuel plays with the elements of a given moment: The natural light, the atmosphere of a specific place and how both affect the individual in front of the camera. Each picture points beyond itself. It invites the observer to make up a story on his own. Altogether the images testify an inner attitude of humility and enthusiasm for life in all its forms. Originally from South Tyrol, Italy, Manuel is now based in Munich. His work has been published internationally in campaigns, editorials, catalogs and reportages.
