This season marks a new beginning for Filippa K, where we go back to our core philosophy of simple style and long lasting beauty. The campaign was shot by photographer Camilla Åkrans and captures the Kilbey sisters and Julien Hedquist on a day off, coming together on the shores of California, showcasing our belief that simplicity truly is the purest form of luxury." The ICICLE Clothing S/S '18 campaign conjures the good spirits with photos by Elisabeth TOLL c/o LUNDLUND. The true story behind the campaign: "2018 S/S EARTHMAN KACHINA - The Hopi tribe is a sovereign Indian nation in New Mexico. Kachinas are spirits to which the Hopi pray. A Kachina can be anything in the natural world or in the cosmos (sun, stars, corn, insects) or a natural phenomenon (thunderstorm, wind).
In the first half of the year, these spirits are incarnated in masked and costumed dancers by means of ritual celebrations. At the end of the celebration, the children receive little wooden dolls painted in bright colors, which are also called Kachinas, so that they can become familiar with the spiritual world.
Each Kachina is believed to be a powerful entity, which can use its special power for the well-being of humans when it is revered and respected – by bringing rain, healing, fertility or protection." Icicle.com
