KENT & CO PRODUCTIONS : für die LOUIS VUITTON Frühjahr/Sommer Menswear Kampagne 2020 in Tanger, Chefchaouen und Marrakesch und für ARTYCAPUCINES zu Besuch bei Designer NICHOLAS HLOBO in Johannesburg

“Art of Travel” – KENT & CO PRODUCTIONS produced the LOUIS VUITTON Spring/Summer 2020 menswear campaign, photographed by Dutch photographer Viviane Sassen in the Moroccan cities of Tangier and Chefchaouen and starring a number of models scouted in the country. Titled ‘Footprint’, it marks the first in a series of campaigns “intended to portray man’s positive footprint on the planet”; shooting across five continents, men’s artistic director Virgil Abloh hopes to highlight “the ethea of global community, harmonious diversity and cross-cultural inclusivity” and “illustrate and celebrate the formative acts and feelings shared by male youth around the globe”. Nicholas Hlobo is a South African artist based in Johannesburg, South Africa. He was born in 1975 in Cape Town and earned a Bachelor of Technology from Technikon Witwatersrand in 2002. He creates large sculptural works that are expansive masses which at once feel oozy, voluptuous and highly structured. The contrast of femininity and masculinity is created by his use of dissimilar materials such as rubber inner tubes, ribbon, organza, lace and found objects. In 2010, Hlobo was selected as a protégé by mentor Sir Anish Kapoor as part of the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative, an international philanthropic program that pairs masters in their disciplines with emerging talents for a year of one-to-one creative exchange.

Auf der LOUIS VUITTON Webseite lesen wir über die Taschen-Kooperation: “Nicholas Hlobo’s limited edition ARTYCAPUCINES echoes Louis Vuitton’s Monogram canvas through a flower growing organically from the Capucines PM’s interior. Meticulously attached with hand-laced embroidery, the blue tones and contrasting texture stand out against the bag’s smooth black exterior to create a beautiful, handmade hybrid object.” Produziert wurden die hier gezeigten Motive von KENT & CO PRODUCTIONS in Johannesburg für Fotograf Paul Wetherell. We Folk was launched in April 2009 by Olivia Gideon-Thomson

After nearly 14 years of working in the industry, in Spring 2009 the time became right to start a new company. The premise of our mission statement, was and still is to help develop and support photographers' work across all media, primarily in the private sector but also supporting cultural projects where appropriate.

To work with such oustanding and varied talent is of course very exciting and our aim is to provide solid career advice and strategy with great sales, marketing & project management skills.

We rely on a network of other professionals to help maintain the quality of production that we believe each photographer is known for at We Folk and are proud that many other businesses interact with ours.

For a list of our preferred suppliers or for any other information, please send an email to info@wefolk.com or call on 020 7456 9900

Thanks.

We Folk.
