Four years young and already indispensable: On September 5, 2025, Studio Nonsens celebrated its fourth anniversary at its Hamburg office with an evening as distinctive as the creative studio itself.
Under the motto “Rivers of Joy”, the creative space transformed into a fluid stream of encounters, art, and bold ideas – true to their sweet spot: creating unique moments and bringing people together.
Since its founding in 2021 by creative directors Lisanne Kurth and Stefanie Schellwies, Studio Nonsens has established itself as a creative studio that reimagines branding, design, and art direction. Their hallmark: breaking conventions, questioning every brief, and developing concepts that are both strategically sharp and playfully aesthetic. Their portfolio spans rebrandings and packaging, corporate design, and international campaigns for brands such as Adidas, Catrice, Zalando, and Jung von Matt.
The anniversary reflected their philosophy: 200 invited guests from the fashion, beauty, and lifestyle sectors – including creative and art directors, brand managers, artists, and agencies – toasted four years of bold ideas with the founders.
The highlight of the evening was an exhibition, powered by WhiteWall, featuring works by Yves Borgwardt, Per Appelgren, Maria Barton, Stefanie Steckhan, Thorge Dammann, Lucas Hesse, Nicolai Diekmann, Victoria Kämpfe, Kristine Ringe, Nikolai Dobreff, Ninu Drames, and studio flourish, accompanied by vibrant beats from Isaac Lopez and David Bucka. As part of a raffle, five of the exhibited works were given away – a playful twist that perfectly reflected the DNA of Studio Nonsens and has become a hallmark of their birthday celebrations.
With the opening of their second location in Cologne earlier this year and a network that continues to grow, Studio Nonsens keeps moving – like a river carving its own path. “Rivers of Joy” was therefore more than an anniversary: it was a manifesto of how creativity connects, transforms, and moves ideas and people.
