THE BILDBESCHAFFER are the pros when it comes to image research, image buying, consulting clients on the subject of image rights, and are experts in licensing and archiving. Plus, they help you step up your game in the professional use of images – with their Bildbeschaffer knowledge base. In a nutshell: They are the image curators – with everything that goes along with it. So they look for everything if you need: photos, videos, graphics. It makes no difference to them whether its for a small motif or a big production, royalty free or rights managed. Services range from spontaneous questions, when you need them to take a look over your shoulder: Is it possible to use a certain motif in advertising? Do rights have to be clarified? Will I find the image in stock? And at tother times, it means big pool research, for which they select the right image sources and dig through the stocks.
"Agencies treat us like a freelancer for research, image rights and licenses – and for companies, we develop media workflows: How can the communicators in more than 100 departments of companies such as Evonik Industries AG, Brose or AIDA Cruises coordinate their work? A master service agreement with important image providers? How can the unpopular topic of licensing be managed in a company? How can a company make its suppliers understand that they can only deliver correctly licensed images? Throughout the entire journey of an image – from the visual language to the archived image – we support our customers, including keywording, image databases and defensive measures against written warnings." DIE BILDBESCHAFFER tells GoSee.
And continues: "We cooperate with the few large agencies but also with the many niche and special archives, We ourselves come from the world of image agencies and though we are absolutely independent, we are also very well connected – and most recently attended the CEPIC Congress of Image Agencies, where Google announced news about Google Image Search: In summer 2019, there will be a release which will allow images to be tagged as stock." Here is our review of the CEPIC Congress 2019.
Just briefly: Google has introduced a new feature in Google Image Search, which will be released in the weeks to come. Images from web shops will be tagged as "product". A shoe store can tag its shoe images as "product" and give the shoe a "price". And images from stock photo agencies or other licensed sources can be tagged as "stock." Image searchers will now see this in the Google search and can also filter accordingly (Images you can license). Texts – as the sentence today "images are usually protected by copyright" – will explain: "If you want to use an image commercially, you have to license it". Images are not tagged according to the IPTC data of the image but within the HTML code of the page. The set of rules is on schema.org. We will gladly give you further information upon request. By the way, in addition to product and stock, there will also be tags like video.
At the same congress, figures were shown that indicate a trend: Image editors and other "competent" image buyers are disappearing more and more from the agency world. This is where Die Bildbeschaffer comes in: We provide the service and background knowledge that is disappearing in both image and advertising agencies. And with the two-day workshop 'Network: Image' which takes place shortly before UPDATE-19-BERLIN in November 2019, we offer seasoned image pros a great platform for exchanging ideas with peers in the same boat.
At UPDATE-19-BERLIN itself, we would like to exchange ideas with you: How can we support you in art buying? Where are the pain points? What if a customer asks for a D.A.M.? Do you need a sparring partner to look over your shoulder, someone to take care of the delicate work with licensing details or help with pool research? Or should we grant creatives at your agency academy deeper insight into the stock photo market and image rights? We know there won't be too much time for details, but we are there for you."
