German bank Sparkasse is making a big splash with an unusual campaign. At the heart of it is a music video which is several minutes long that gets to the bottom of a human dilemma: When making financial decisions, the mind tends to say "NO" while your gut says "Yes" – or vice versa. S-Kreditpartner can help, though, with its personal loans. The video was produced by GoSee member ELEMENT E with Director Bernd Faass.

"The result is a song about toads, turtles and the never-ending question of whether you can afford something or not," says the team from Jung von Matt Spree and thanks the Sparkassen team, advertiser Ludwig Berndl (voice, tunes, words ), Director Bernd Faass, Element E film production and "the team that has been putting the pedal to the metal for almost 1 1/2 years".

"We are quite familiar with this kind of back and forth when it comes to such decisions and have developed a musically compelling annual campaign, showing how we give our customers the best support in these situations," said Silke Lehm, Head of Marketing Communications at German Sparkassen- & Giroverband eV (DSGV). Once the insight had been found, the next step was all about "finding a unique realization that sets itself entirely apart from the competition's usual interest rate campaigns," Till Eckel, Creative Director of Jung von Matt/SPREE tells us.

Alongside the music video, there are 20 different song versions for TV, radio and digital channels. Plus, there was a virtual hit machine for Easter with which everyone can personalize and send their very own catchy "No vs. Yes" tune.
