Berlin Fashion Week is long gone and busy getting ready to reinvent itself yet again. So no need to feel blue. Sometimes we get the feeling though – oh there was something we simply have to show you. And then weeks go by. But now the time has come. After all Swiss label YVY’s designs attracted a great number of first and second looks.
YVY, established 2012 in stunning Switzerland, is synonymous with the finest craftsmanship. Designer Yvonne Reichmuth comments on her label: "YVY is trend and seasonal independent design; traditional craftsmanship meets innovation. Founded 2012 in Switzerland, at home all over the world. Away from mass production towards carefully created pieces of art. YVY stands for selected materials and quality throughout the whole process of manufacturing. The SKIN & SPIRIT collections, entirely handmade out of Italian vegetable tanned leather, prove how seductive sustainability can be. A line of versatile, feminine accessories that can transform a simple dress into an exquisite and unique look. Detailed tracery, lacing and delicate rivets combined with skilfully developed cuts melt into transcendental pieces of craftsmanship."
YVY first caught our eye with a series of images at GoSeeAwards14. GoSee presents the YVY outfits presented to 400 invited guests at Berlin Fashion Week Lavera Showfloor dedicated to sustainable fashion.
Yvonne tells GoSee: "The fourhundred guests enjoyed a best-of from the SKIN and SPIRIT collection, the YVY x PKHC headpieces and dresses we made specially for the show. And the pictures were taken by Boris Marberg for modaCYCLE." lavera-showfloor.de
