We are delighted to welcome Cara Anne Specker, senior art buyer & agency producer at Havas Worldwide Zurich to the GoSee AWARDS panel. Besides her extensive experience in advertising, she is the co-founder of the Swiss Art Buyers Association, management board member of the guild of image editors and art buyers visualeditors.net and co-curator of Swiss photo14. She was a visiting lecturer at Luzern University (Design & Art department) and regularly works as a photography portfolio review and curator.
Cara Anne Specker, who grew up in Switzerland and New York will support the GoSee Awards in the EDITORIAL / FASHION category and is looking forward to viewing high quality entries. She is personally very interested in this category, as she worked as an image editor for fashion magazines BOLERO and BOLERO MEN from 2004 to 2010 as well as for economy magazine BILANZ and worked as a freelance photo journalist for ANNABELLE, SONNTAGSZEITUNG as well as the Ringier newsroom.
In her free time Cara Anne Specker visits galleries, photography and film festivals. As the daughter of a music professor, she is also enthusiastic about music and likes to visit gigs to switch off. She sees it as a privilege to combine her passion for images and art with her career.
We present several examples from the agency, including jobs for CREDIT SUISSE, CALIDA, the eye catcher pictures by CARRIOCA for Zurich KIammerorchester as well as the picture for RIPOSA. The print campaign for SÄGESSER FENSTER features famous works of art. In cooperation with Dutch artist Joep Verhoeven the team created an installation for AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL called ‘Zaun der Freiheit’ (fence of freedom), which dramatized the situation of political prisoners. The installation consists of a fence, the wires of which have been twisted and intertwined in a way that they create silhouettes of political prisoners.
