About - EU Consumer protection authorities have joined forces to bring thousands of websites into line with the law, and advice centres across Europe helped 80,000 consumers enjoy their rights when shopping cross border last year. More people are shopping online than ever before. In 2012, over 15% of consumers made at least one online purchase from another EU country. Online cross border purchases therefore now accounts for two thirds of complaints received by European Consumer Centres in 2013.
