“Don’t shoot what it looks like. Shoot what it feels like.” – this is the motto Lara Baumberger puts at the heart of her work. Splitting her time between Berlin and Vienna, the photographer specializes in commercial photography with a focus on lifestyle, people and automotive.
With “LANA”, she shows us a playful beauty side of her portfolio on gosee.news. Pastel colours, glossy make-up, bold contrasts and unusual perspectives come together in a deliberately artificial aesthetic somewhere between beauty, fashion and pop.
Rather than aiming for classic beauty perfection, Baumberger focuses on atmosphere and visual energy. Vibrant blue, soft lilac and acid green set the stage for Lana – at times cool and distant, at others playful and right up close to the camera.
A personal project with plenty of pop appeal – and a refreshing addition to Lara Baumberger’s commercial work.
