BAKER & CO betreuten ein Fashion Editorial von Pieter Hugo für NUMERO HOMME. Das Styling der Male Models Thomas Leach, Alastair Oscar Swatz, Rasaq Akinwunmi, Bandile M übernahm Samuel Francois, Hair & Make-up Anja Fichtenmayer. Der südafrikanischer Fotograf befasst sich mit Porträts und Dokumentationen aus seiner Heimat Südafrika und Afrika.
BAKER & CO ist ein internationales Produktionsunternehmen, das sich auf hochwertige Foto- und Filmkampagnen für die Mode- und Werbebranche spezialisiert hat. Das Team mit Sitz in Kapstadt, Südafrika, ist auf Aufnahmen auf dem gesamten afrikanischen Kontinent und den Inseln im Indischen Ozean spezialisiert, von Marokko bis Kapstadt, vom Senegal bis zu den Seychellen und alles dazwischen.
Das luxuriöse britische Desigenrlabel ME+EM setzte mit dem Production Support von BAKER & CO und DOP Nick Burton-Moore einige elegante Kollektionen unter der Sonne Südafrikas um. Mit dabei waren das Fotografenteam Arran & Jules, die Hair & Makeup Artists Alet Viljoen, Anja Fichtenmayer und Kelly Paitaki. Aradia Crockett sorgte für das Styling der Modelle Swati Eck und Beatriz Machado.
Gegründet wurde das Label von Designerin Clare Hornby 2009: “The secret to ME+EM is what we don’t have: middlemen. I’m obsessed with quality, and in order to offer the finest at an affordable price, we do everything ourselves in-house. No middleman means no unnecessary markups. It’s the very simple reason why we no longer have to choose between luxury and cost. I’m proud to say that ME+EM was the very first luxury brand in the UK to disrupt the market in this way, paving the way for a new vision of womenswear.”

Das Modelabel LUKHANYO MDINGI legt großen Wert auf die Kooperation mit talentierten lokalen Künstlern, die eine zentrale Rolle im Designprozess einnehmen. 10-4Africa, the Cape Town based office of industry veteran 10-4Inc in London, brings together the international production experience of Rob Kent and Scott Curnow-Baker.
Scott owned a photo agency and production company in Dubai whilst Rob learnt his trade over 9 years with Mario Testino and Art Partner in London. Rob and Scott are adventurous and experienced travellers, with all locations personally scouted to ensure in-depth and first hand knowledge.
The 10-4Africa branch already has a privileged resume of high-end productions shot at an enviable gamut of unique locations. Recent highlights include transporting Mr Porter from the inner-city of Johannesburg to the active volcanic island of Reunion; capturing Africa’s young creatives with Diesel + Edun and a fly-in international crew of 45 against the raw cityscape of Senegal; and matching locations between South Africa and France for a highly technical 1664 shoot with Fred and Farid.
10-4Africa aims to continue the 10-4 precedent by bringing first-class international fashion and advertising clients to the best of the African continent and exotic island surrounds.
