ANALOG / DIGITAL : Visual identity for the OFFF Festival 2022 and Vasava, the WAKAM FAMILY plus ‘Something to Offend Everyone’ – the BROOKLYN FILM FESTIVAL 2022, three works by creative duo FOREAL for you on GoSee.NEWS

“We joined forces with the lovely people at Vasava, Barcelona to create a new visual identity for the OFFF Festival.” FOREAL c/o ANALOG / DIGITAL.

Offf sees itself as an ‘International Festival for Post-Digital Creation Culture.’ In 2001, the Offf Festival was held in Barcelona for the first time under the name of Online Flash Film Festival. Since that time, it has taken place once each year, usually in the month of May. Over the course of three days, international artists present works in the areas of graphic design, visual communication, digital art, electronic music and moving images. One main aspect of the festival is that it is a place for artists from around the world to come together to work creatively and experiment while discussing the newest trends in the digital world.

“We were responsible for the art direction, development and production of the entire visual content including a variety of animations. Concept and graphic design by Vasava.” FOREAL.

VASAVA describes itself as an ‘independent strategic design and branding agency based in Barcelona’ : “We Do It Ourselves, from illustration to video to CGI. And if there’s something we don’t know how to do, we contact the best freelance creative photographers or copywriters to help us out.” Like here for German creative duo FOREAL.

The number of visitors of the OFFF festivals is currently constantly increasing yearly. Besides the presentation of the main topics such as graphic design or promotion and TV clips, Offf is mainly shaped by keynote speeches and conferences.

Founded in 1829, WAKAM is among the top 20 property and casualty insurers in France :  In 2020, the insurer was included in the Financial Times’ “FT 1000: Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies 2020,” ranking No.1 in the TOP 50 largest turnovers. Wakam is an insurer that offers bespoke insurance solutions marketed by its distribution partners as white label insurance products. Among its partners are both insurance experts and non-specialized distributors who embed the insurances in their portfolio of products and services.

“French insurer Wakam asked us to transform their whole leadership squad into fun, stylized 3D characters who represent their character traits.” FOREAL c/o ANALOG & DIGITAL. We are delighted to present you the result featuring the whole colorful WAKAM family here on GoSee.

WAKAM insurance services are meanwhile available in 32 European countries on a freedom-of-service basis : “From usage-based car insurance to parametric flight delay insurance, we design all our insurance products in the API according to your specific needs. They are integrated into your products and services and fulfill our ‘Secured by Wakam’ commitment.”

FOREAL c/o ANALOG DIGITAL was commissioned by the agency MullenLowe New York to design a number of characters for the Brooklyn Film Festival 2022. Topic : ‘Something to Offend Everyone’ – because the Brooklyn Film Festival is quite proud of never censoring its filmmakers but instead letting them express themselves however they want.

And with more than 140 uncensored films in 2022, it was clear that there would guaranteed be ‘Something to Offend Everyone’ in the showcase. The campaign wants to encourage the audience to leave their comfort zone and show how to discuss all the new ideas, thoughts and points of views they encounter at the festival the way they see fit.

Founded in 1998 by Executive Director Marco Ursino, Susan Mackell (Director of Development), Abe Schrager and Mario Pegoraro (Director of Programming), its mission is to “discover independent filmmakers, showcase their work and promote new talent while at the same time putting Brooklyn on the global map as a cinematic hub.”

Brooklyn Film Festival (BFF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is an International competitive festival. BFF’s mission is to provide a public forum in Brooklyn in order to advance public interest in films and the independent production of films. To draw worldwide attention to Brooklyn as a center for cinema. To encourage the rights of all Brooklyn residents to access and experience the power of independent filmmaking, and to promote artistic excellence and the creative freedom of artists without censorship.

Award-winning films from the Brooklyn Film Festival have gone on to be nominated and awarded at the British Academy Awards (BAFTAs), the American Academy Awards (Oscars), and the Canadian Screen Award, for which BFF is a proud qualifying festival.
