Stockholm-based agency AGENT MOLLY & CO has expanded its portfolio with the addition of illustrator and designer Josephine Rais. Through her distinctive visual language, Josephine creates colourful and dynamic scenes from everyday life, characterised by strong compositions, diverse characters and a contemporary visual aesthetic.
At the centre of her work are a wide range of protagonists portrayed in unusual poses and constellations. Organic shapes, vibrant colours and a clear graphic language give her illustrations a strong visual presence. Her practice frequently explores themes of identity, diversity, femininity and social interaction.
Josephine’s work is conceived as an invitation to dialogue. Through an optimistic visual world, she aims to make different perspectives visible while opening up spaces for tolerance, diversity and equality. Her illustrations combine social relevance with a positive and contemporary approach to image-making.
Based in Berlin, Josephine Rais specialises in digital illustration while drawing on a distinctly interdisciplinary background. Following an early education in Fine Arts, she earned a Bachelor's degree in Product Design and a Master's degree in Strategic Design. This combination of artistic practice, design expertise and strategic thinking informs her approach and makes her a versatile creative partner across a wide range of projects and media.
With Josephine Rais joining its roster, AGENT MOLLY & CO welcomes an illustrator whose work combines socially relevant themes with a strong visual identity, resulting in imagery that is contemporary, accessible and unmistakably her own.
