Designer and Creative Director Tina Touli is among more than 200 international creatives contributing original poster designs to the MATE ACT NOW initiative.
Launched in response to the devastating 2019/20 Australian bushfires and given renewed urgency by the global outbreak of COVID-19, the initiative brings together designers from some of the world's leading creative studios to raise awareness of the climate crisis and inspire meaningful action.
Tina Touli's poster combines expressive typography with a three-dimensional globe. The message, "Yes, I changed my plans... for my planet," draws on the shared experience of the pandemic, when people around the world fundamentally changed their behaviour almost overnight, and redirects that willingness to act towards climate action. The result is both a bold graphic statement and a compelling call for personal responsibility.
As the initiators point out, a poster alone cannot change the world—people can. The participating designers' works are therefore intended not only to raise awareness, but also to encourage people to share, engage, and above all, take action.
