'The Tiger' marks a milestone for Amazon: For the first time, a German Amazon Original is available both on streaming services and in theaters – and is now being broadcast worldwide. With great success: The claustrophobically staged anti-war film is resonating with audiences around the globe.
BIDERGUT was commissioned to create the key art for this special production in close collaboration with BDA Creative: "Our contribution included high-end retouching, compositing, and the final artwork for all campaign visuals," BILDERGUT told gosee.news.
The result is an epic group image centered around the iconic Tiger tank, as well as a series of intense character images depicting the protagonists in emotionally charged moments.
"Through the targeted use of lighting, precise color palette, and subtle digital effects, we intensified the visual atmosphere and clearly defined the cinematic look of the campaign," said Fabian Kern & Patrick Kern, founders of BILDERGUT.
The result is powerful, globally used visuals that convey the drama and suspense of the film – and are equally compelling on streaming platforms and on the big screen.
Directed by Dennis Gansel, known for films such as Napola and The Wave, this anti-war drama offers an unflinching look into the depths of the Second World War – and into the psyche of the soldiers who fought it. The film stars David Schütter, Laurence Rupp, Leonard Kunz, Sebastian Urzendowsky, and Yoran Leicher.
The Tiger was produced by PANTALEON Films in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios Germany. The screenplay is by Dennis Gansel and Colin Teevan.
About the content: Autumn 1943, Eastern Front: A five-man crew of a German Tiger tank is sent on a secret mission deep behind enemy lines. But what begins as a clear order quickly becomes a journey into the moral abyss...
