The sun worshippers who were stocking up on some sunshine at a Lido were probably thinking ’39 degrees and no shade’. But they were flabbergasted by an unusual surprise. A parasol, racing over the grass as if by magic, offers some much needed sunburn protection. And not only that – the parasol even talked to them.
Saatchi & Saatchi compiled the astonished reactions for vivesco in an online video, to advertise the pharmacy’s ‘sunny weeks’ on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Thomas Hofmann, marketing director of vivesco Apotheken-Partner GmbH says: ‘vivesco sees itself as a life companion for its customers. So what’s better than to be right where they need us the most?’
The mobile parasol is an idea of Frankfurt creative team Saatchi & Saatchi. Jorg Riommi, Saatchi & Saatchi executive CD explains: ‘It was a nice little stunt for VIVESCO, for which we left the usual communication pathways and navigated new territory’.
Michael M. Maschke, head of creative services adds: ‘people who are happy to accept help (interaction), a parasol that can drive in all directions and is able to talk (360 degree communication) and the good feeling of protecting countless square meters of skin from severe burns (relevance). What more can you want!? Seriously, as you can see, everyone behind and in front of the camera had a lot of fun. A special thanks goes to the production team (Telemaz Corporate) and especially to Michael Halein and his team who were responsible for the special effects and the yellow parasol robot. But we are not going to reveal where this friendly yellow parasol will show up next.’
