The vernissage on a ship and radio drama on Storytel – the spread staged by PAWEL FABJANSKI draws inspiration from the story entitled ‘Topiel: House Deep in the Forest’ by Polish fantasy author Jakub Ćwiek. Storytel and Newonce Radio joined forces to create the audio version of Jakub Ćwiek’s short story originally titled ‘The Abyss: House in the Woods’. Pawel Fabjanski: “I was invited to create photographic images inspired by Ćwiek’s prose. The series I created has been shown at a very unique location, a boat on the Vistula river.” The story is based on the personal experiences of the author during the Millennium Flood of Tysiąclecia in 1997.
‘The Abyss: House in the Woods’ is a story which takes place in parallel to the events of the bestselling novel, ‘Topiel’, by Jakub Ćwiek, which is about a group of friends trying to survive a catastrophic flood which no one had anticipated. And as everyone knows – even the most raging flood begins with only a single tiny drop… Watch the backstage video for the shoot here : youtube.com/watch, and here is the radio drama (sorry, only in Polish): storytel.com///Topiel-Dom-w-glebi-lasu
