We are delighted to welcome beauty, portrait and fashion photographer Samuli Karala at GoSee. His opulent portfolio presents fantasy worlds with powerful imagery, cinematic portraits and glamorous fashion productions. For 20 years, he has worked for international clients all over the world. Whether he has R & B artist Kelly Rowland in front of his camera, heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson, actor Adrian Grenier, or the President of Finland – Samuli knows how to sensitively portray the people behind big names. And each picture tells a story. “Characters matter to me the most,” the photographer tells GoSee. “In fashion as well as in portraiture, my aim is to depict the person, interpret the moment and capture the dynamics between the two.”
Born 1977 in Turku, Finland, the creative was drawn to England after his studying photography to attend the University for the Creative Arts. He filmed his first music videos and photographed for Muse, South China Morning Post Style, L'Officiel, L'Officiel Hommes, Elle, Elle Decor, REVS, Plaza Kvinna, Schön mag, The National UAE, Emirates Woman, Emirates Man, Cosmopolitan, Neo2, Vaga, Vogue.it, or vision China. SAMULI KARALA has worked and lived in London, New York, Tallinn, Helsinki, and Dubai. He now lives in the creative metropolis Berlin, from where he will work on more conceptual and artistic projects in the future. “I wish that I could keep bringing the enigmatic and creative, the stories, to the world of fashion and editorials.”
