Tommy Paxton-Beesley, also known as River Tiber, is a Canadian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer. In 2016, he released his first album entitled ‘Indigo’. After taking a longer break, River is now back with his EP ‘Hypnotized’.
HABITANT PRODUCTIONS was the service production company for the music video of the actually quite hypnotic song ‘Hypnotized’, which was directed by Leo Aguirre.
Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Tommy Paxton-Beesley spent a year in Italy living near the Tiber river – hence his pseudonym. At a very early age, River already took part in community music programs and also attended the Claude Watson School for the Arts.
On 9 December, 2022, he released his second album ‘Dreaming Eyes’. The album release was accompanied by the music video presented here for the acclaimed track ‘Hypnotized’ which was conceived and edited by Director Leo Aguirre. ‘Hypnotized’ was also featured on Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy-nominated album ‘Mr. Moral & the Big Steppers’.
“I don’t remember much about being seven years old. I’ve just always wanted to be a musician. It has always been my dream.” River Tiber says in an interview which you can read on VICE.com. His wish sure seems to have come true : both as an artist and also as a producer, the talented musician is finding more and more listeners.
And last, but not least : Meet HABITANT PRODUCTIONS as an exhibitor for the first time at UPDATE-23-BERLIN.
