In her personal work 'Världsarvet Laponia', Marianne KARLSEN illustrated the Swedish World Heritage Laponia and its animal inhabitants. Laponia is located in Lapland and is part of Europe's largest, almost completely untouched wilderness. Since 1996, it belongs to both World Natural Heritage and World Cultural Heritage.
