Exciting new entry at 2AGENTEN is AYUMI TAKAHASHI, who is living between Tokyo, New York and Berlin at the moment. Born in China, raised in Japan, and a graduate from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, she has also lived in Bangkok and London – and this multi-cultural background also has an influence on the artist and illustrator’s work. “Making art that is ‘borderless’ and can spread love and joyfulness,” as she puts it herself. Painting, drawing, digital & textile design are the areas in which Ayumi does her thing.
She illustrated the packaging of the limited edition from the L’OCCITANE Verbena Citrus Collection and designed a series of illustrations in her haptic style for COCA COLA JAPAN. For AMAZON CHINA, she illustrated motifs for Women’s Day 2020, and for department store Isetan in Japan, she illustrated the 2020 New Year’s campaign.
Further clients include The New York Times, Google, Starbucks, Amazon, Coca Cola, Uber NPR, Buzzfeed or Paramount Pictures. In an interview with GirlsClubAsia, she talks a bit more about her background.
