An unmistakably deep voice, poetic lyrics and 20 years of French music history: Grand Corps Malade is one of the most prominent voices in French slam poetry. For the cover of Le Parisien Week-End, photographer Nicolas Valois portrayed the musician, songwriter and director to mark the release of his new album, “Voir la mer”.
“Le don des mots” – The Gift of Words – reads the cover headline. Fittingly, his ninth studio album, “Voir la mer”, was released on the very same day. Once again, Grand Corps Malade combines personal stories with observations on society. From January 2027, he will tour France with his new album.
For the cover, French fashion and portrait photographer Nicolas Valois opts for an understated portrait against a sky-blue background. More information about Nicolas Valois and his work is available via LGA MGMT.
