Before sunrise, Katarzyna Milewska and the production team from Analog Digital headed to the racetrack. “4 AM Call Time” was born from a shared passion for photography and cycling – and from the desire to use the first golden light of the day for a distinctive visual interpretation of the sport.
What stands out is the graphic quality and rhythm of the images. Repetition, cropped bodies, geometric shapes and the dynamics of the bicycles come together in compositions that move between sport, graphic design and abstraction. Combined with the warm early-morning light, the series develops a magic all of its own.
Analog Digital: “We recently wrapped a shoot on the racetrack with Kasia Milewska, one of the most exciting and passionate sports photographers we know, and we're thrilled to finally share the shots. We were on set before sunrise to catch the golden hour, and when the light hit the track, it paid off. Some projects are born from a love of the craft, but this one was just as much about a love for the sport. Kasia is an avid cyclist. So is our producer, Zdzich. So is our co-founder, Tom. When the people behind the camera are as obsessed with cycling as the athletes on the track, you feel it in every frame.”
